Remember this bird …?

On Saturday it was released almost exactly where the accident occurred. Volunteer Sue said: “The kite was quiet until we reached the area it was to be released in and then only did it start moving about in the box. There was another kite on the telephone lines and as soon as ‘our’ bird was out of the box, the other bird came bolting over, was quite a fulfilling sight to watch the two of them ducking and diving overhead! It didn’t take too long for the two of them to fly off together.”

Seeing that picture it’s hard to really believe he survived let alone recovered to be released. Think I may tweet this…
